we're back at nitpicking about the show babey.. something i really didn't like as a very small detail about jesper is how they implied that jesper is only good at shooting because they use their grisha powers to direct their shot. and it's also implied that jesper does it on purpose/consciously, which... isn't the case at all and i think really cuts down on the repression part of their story

#the show leans heavier into the concept of 'hiding' rather than 'repressing'#just because theyve shown. jesper as an expert fabrikator somehow??? despite no training #as if they've been doing all this stuff in secret and just kept it hidden #when its not the case. jesper isnt good at fabrikating because they literally blocked out any use of their powers #to the point where using their powers has now become subconscious. to the point where they're not even AWARE they're doing it #also to make it clear: jesper is still a goddamned fantastic shot without their powers.#their powers pretty much ensure a 100% accuracy but without their powers it would still be like a 95% accuracy #bc manipulation w/o grisha powers is done with subtle redirection/altering or else #it would be abundant that their powers are being used to cover their shots lol #its only used to fix minimal and millimeter increments if not smaller #critical //
